R1 Sword art Online

Hey all!
Since this is going to be my first review, i decided to do something main stream :)
And my pick is...
Sword art online :DD (SAO)
If you haven't watched SAO, here's some sneak peaks of the art

The artwork is nicely done, especially the backgrounds. Can't believe how the graphics are so great :D
So now let's begin :33

Introduction: SAO is a Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kwahara, it was adapted into a anime series on July 7 2012. The story takes place in a virtual world where all the players are stuck in this game called Sword art online. The players are to, reach the 100th level in this game. However, if the player dies in the real game, they will die in real life (All the players that are in the game are all equipped with a game counsel called Nerve gear, which will send out a radioactive like substance if they die. Of course, this is being controlled by the creator of this game). The main character, Kirito, is a bad ass gameplayer. He's pro at this game, since he's played the unreleased version of this game. As the game continues, Kirito experiences tragedies after teaming up with various members in the game. Where he on one coincidence befriends with a girl called Asuna. After that they started to fall in love, started to live together. Since Asuna is a leader of a big guild, there happened to be some conflicts. On one of the missions, Kirito found the creator of the game, which appears to be on of Asuna's big general. There they fought to (almost) death, and the people that still remained in the game were freed.
However this did not mark the end of this journey, 300 people were still stuck in a coma (pretty much in the game) and Asuna was one of it's victims. Kirito desperately tried to rescue Asuna, which he found out eventually is in another game called Alfheim Online. He then starts to search for her. After a long distance of finding and searching, he defeats the creator of Alfheim Online and then wins the girl over. Yay, happy ending.

Plot Progression (7/10)  : The plot for SAO was.... sorry to say it was interesting, but it wasn't that good. First of all, I feel that there are some unnecessary love in this anime. Was it necessary for Kirito and Asuna to fall in love, and seriously, almost every girl that meets Kirito falls into love with him (Is he some kind of chick magnet? Even his sister fell for him OAO). Second, how come all the evil people are the game masters(Creators)? The laughing coffin was a great evil villain (the laughing coffin is a group of players that target lone players or players, where they will loot them and kill them) But these people were not mentioned and they were not eliminated.
Basically I feel that the plot is weak, and is moved on by unnecessary love. So the score for this is not going to be pretty.

Character Progression : The main character Kirito is uh, i'll say he's the most bad ass character. It's as if he has hacks in the game, I mean seriously, I couldn't even get to level 20 or something in two days. Anyways he's a bit young, and his eyes are huge. If you do look closely, you'll see his eyes fits about a third to two thirds of his face. Another point of him is that I don't really think that his relationship with Asuna is really... "loving". Well, it's like seeing two middle schoolers dating, it's not... elevated...But I like him, as a good main character, so he's going to receive a pretty good high standard from me.
*This is him at the start, before the transformation

*This is where he's a elf (in Alfheim Online, everybody is a mythical creature, in this case, he is an elf)

*A decent wall paper of him :DDD

So now maybe you're wondering, where's Asuna, well here she is :D
Asuna: is the sub main character in this anime. She plays a role of Kiritos lover, and the Nerve Gears only daughter. Which got her abducted by the creator of Alfheim Online, in order to marry her (Dude she's like 17, and you're about 30.... *signs* Just how corrupted this world is) So about her... I think she's kind of cool when she teams up with Kirito for some fights, but other wise, she's... innocent. In general. But otherwise than that, she's not bad. Just that I have a problem with her being quiet a big obstacle in the series, cause half of the things revolve around her (Duh!). So no problem with her it seems.

Ugh.. I'm really tired for today, so I'll stop here

How do I give points? And where are my standards?

It seems that I'll need a system, to evaluate and gives some scores on my reviews (or it'll take forever to see if the show is worth watching).
To cut the chase, here's how it goes.

Introduction : I'll start off with what the over plot of the manga/anime. Since it's an overall summary, of course there is going to be a ton of spoilers (and a ton of hates/loves).

Plot Progression (out of 10): Uh, for this, I'll pretty much say I like or dislike the plot. Probably give reasons, but you might not all agree though.

Character Development(out of 10): I might not focus on the main characters, but be aware, I might and will probably focus on the character that I hate the most. Beware of dissing and biased things coming on, cause some characters need to dieeeee (rampage mode).

Theme/Setting (out of 10): This will depend if I liked it our not. Just for your advance I prefer; science fiction, occult stuff, supernatural, gag comedy, comedy, love stories (not all, but I really like bizarre ones), good style of art, and excrosism. I don't really like; machinery things,  shoujo (aimed for girls, to be specific, the style with big eyes and unproportional facial structure), either bloody or too dark, and magic (probably).

Conclusion :I'll give a small conclusion on the overall review, so if you're lazy to read all the stuff I type feel free to go to the bottom and read these few lines.

You'll wonder, "hmmm, just what is that number right beside the title?". First of all, the number represents how much I like the whole thing, pretty much Plot+ Character+Theme, and give it like a grade of some sort.
So here's how I'll rate it (Oh it's actually a rating system):

1-3 This is baddd and you should feel bad about it
4-5 There's pretty much nothing good about this
6 It's so so. To be honest, it's quiet bad
7 It's good but I wouldn't say it's great
8 This is really good, liked it
9 Go watch this!! Go!! This is awesome
10 Master piece

*Note that all of the ratings and reviews are all PERSONAL OPINIONS

Why is the blog called Clumsy views?

First of all, I write horribly. That's a fact.
So why did I start a blog in the first place? Well, make it long story short. I want to improve my English (since English is my second language, by the way I speak Chinese, if you're curious about my first language) , and my teacher suggested that this is the fastest way to boost my writing skills.
Therefore I decided to make some reviews on things that I take interest on. Which in this case, is; manga, anime, music videos, and books (I'll post English and Chinese books in the future...I hope).
Hope you'll enjoy my blog~  :))
On a side note, if you do have time, please do help me out on my posts (cause I do tend to mix up present and past tense almost every time) thanks :D
